KERAGREEN® PILLAR 95 is a French-made rapeseed wax specifically developed for pillar and moulded candles.

This plant-based KERAGREEN® wax contains no animal-derived raw materials and can be blended with suitable candle fragrance oils and oil-soluble dyes.

Technical Information

Instructions for Use

Melt the Wax

Heat the wax under controlled conditions and do not exceed 70 °C.

As with other plant-based waxes, surface finish can be influenced by processing temperature, mould type, ambient conditions and cooling rate.

Add Fragrance Oil

Optimal fragrance load:

5–8%

Maximum:

10%

Add fragrance oil at a temperature of at least 68 °C.

Always consider:

• the fragrance-specific IFRA limit;
• the wax's practical fragrance capacity;
• wick selection;
• candle diameter and shape.

A higher fragrance load does not necessarily provide stronger scent performance.

Add Candle Dye

Recommended temperatures:

• oil-soluble powder dyes – approximately 68 °C;
• liquid candle dyes and dye chips – approximately 70 °C.

Mix thoroughly to achieve even colour distribution.

Pour into Moulds

Recommended starting pour temperature:

65 °C

The optimum temperature may vary with the mould, candle size, ambient temperature, fragrance and dye.

Larger candles may require a second pour due to shrinkage during cooling.

Cooling

Allow candles to cool gradually at a stable room temperature.

Avoid draughts, cold surfaces and sudden temperature changes.

Minor variations in surface appearance are normal with plant-based waxes and may be affected by production conditions.

Wick Selection

We recommend beginning your tests with raw / unwaxed candle wicks suitable for pillar candles.

Wick size depends on:

• candle diameter;
• shape;
• fragrance load;
• dyes;
• wick construction.

Always validate the final combination with a full burn test.

Curing and Burn Testing

Allow the candle to cure for at least 48 hours before the first burn test.

Use consistent production and curing conditions when comparing different formulations.

Original manufacturer's packaging: 20 kg carton.

Smaller quantities are repacked according to the weight ordered.
